Village Glen Arroyo Grande, CA

Project Description

Village Glen was a vacant property located in the County of San Luis Obispo adjacent to the city limits of Arroyo Grande. From its inception, all involved realized that coordination with many governmental agencies would be required. Over the time of the entitlement process, we dealt with the County of San Luis Obispo, the City of Arroyo Grande, the Army Corps of Engineers, the California Department of Fish and Game, the Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCO), California Air Quality Management District (AQMD), and many other governmental agencies.

The completion of annexation to the City of Arroyo Grande, along with 43 pages of required mitigations contained in the Conditions of Approval, allowed for the construction of 38 large lot single family homes and a school site designated for an Elementary School for the Lucia Mar Unified School District.

The infrastructure required moving 250,000 cubic yards of earth, the construction of underground storm drains, water, sewer, water, electric conduits, along with curb, sidewalks, gutters and asphalt.

The time from mobilization of equipment to completion of the project was 20 months.

Village Glen is today one of the most coveted places to own a residence in Arroyo Grande.
